Search step by step
Identify a company and its representatives
Search precisely
Open Pretraga subjekata and enter MBS, OIB or company name. Name matching supports contains, starts with, ends with and approximate matching. Approximate prefix matching accommodates spellings such as ABC and A.B.C. [3] [2]
Narrow the results
Filters cover active/deleted status, legal form, register court, permanent court office and proceedings such as bankruptcy or liquidation. A warning asks you to narrow searches exceeding 100 hits. Compare identifiers and registered office. [2]
Read the current record
The entity page groups the court, identifiers, status, name, office, capital, legal form, activities, founders/members, representatives and legal relationships. Historical company names may produce additional result rows. [2]
Obtain an official extract
Choose the scope
Aktivni izvadak contains current entries. Povijesni izvadak contains the registered history since establishment. Partial extracts are also selectable from the entity page. [3] [2]
Request the official version
After previewing, select Službeni izvadak and provide a contact email. The instructions say the completed extract can be downloaded immediately or through the emailed link. Preuzmi izvadak in the preview is only a viewing aid. [3] [2]
Verify authenticity
Enter the record and control numbers printed at the bottom of the extract on the verification page. Verification records are retained for three months. Keep the original electronic file permanently. [3]
Retrieve financial statements
Use Javna objava
Open RGFI Javna objava and choose the free registration. Enter a username and your email address twice. The form includes a CAPTCHA check and says that your credentials will be sent by email. [5]
Check reporting year and scope
Public documents are available from financial year 2008, with 50 downloads daily. Depending on company size and reporting duties, filings include balance sheets, profit-and-loss accounts, notes and other reports. Consolidated accounts are available for corresponding filers. [5]

Companies, crafts and associations
The court register covers capital companies, partnerships, branches, cooperatives and other entities required by law to register. An obrt, a craft or trade business, belongs in Obrtni registar. That service publicly provides the latest entries for active and discontinued businesses and electronically signed extracts without charge. [11] [12]
Associations belong in Registar udruga. This separate electronic register is maintained by counties or the City of Zagreb according to the association’s registered office. [13]
Access from abroad
Court search, company records and official extract requests are accessible without an account. Enter an email address when requesting an extract. A Croatian digital identity is not required. Registration and filings on behalf of a company follow separate procedures. [2]
Free RGFI registration does not ask for a Croatian identification number. The paid online document service requires a Fina cryptographic USB device. You can also order financial documents from Fina in person, by post, fax or email. [5] [8]
Check beneficial ownership separately
Fina operates RSV on behalf of the Finance Ministry’s Anti-Money Laundering Office. The free public view includes names, month and year of birth, country of residence, nationality, and the nature and extent of beneficial ownership. [9] [2]
Public RSV access uses NIAS login. EU citizens without Croatian residence have a dedicated login route with a country selection that includes Germany and Austria. [5]
Listed companies submit form RSV-2 stating their stock exchange instead of registering beneficial owners. Some entity types have no RSV filing duty, including wholly state-founded entities and craft businesses. AML-obliged users have a separate paid access service restricted to their own clients. [9]
Current fees and document distinctions
From 1 June 2026, tariff item 28 expressly exempts current and historical court-register extracts from court fees. Other copies or transcripts cost €1 per started page; other certificates or written information cost €3. There is no fee for the request itself. These are court fees and exclude additional notarial services. [4]
Fina’s paid document services supplement free public filings. The listed Fina prices include VAT. An RGFI izvadak records the entity’s financial filings; it is not a company extract from Sudski registar. [7] [8]

Official extract and authenticity guide
Explains current and historical extracts and verification using the numbers printed at the bottom of the document. [3]
Avoid common mistakes
- The three-month online verification period does not invalidate an electronic original that has already been downloaded. [3]
- Free financial filings and ordered financial overviews are different products. The paid service’s USB-device requirement does not apply to the simple Javna objava account. [5] [8] [7]
Frequently asked questions
Can I find a deleted company?
Yes. The status filter includes deleted entities. Choose the historical extract if earlier entries matter. [2] [3]
Do I need a Croatian representative?
The public search does not require a local digital identity. Enter an email address when requesting an official electronic extract. [2]
Are all documents available in English?
No. An English interface does not automatically translate register documents. Fina expressly offers ordered financial overviews in Croatian, English and German. [2] [8]
Which official guide explains the extract?
The court guide explains choosing current or historical extracts, requesting the official version and verifying it using the two document numbers. [3]
