Choose the right register
Search results are limited to the first 50 records. Use the Registration Number, TIN or License Number where possible to identify the right company. [1]
The older procedure distinguishes business registration, business licences and articles of incorporation. It also explains reports of changes to ownership, management, location and capital. Its institutions and procedural steps reflect the historical position. [2]

Search step by step
Identify an Afghan company accurately
Obtain the original identifiers
Ask the company for its full name in the original script and its current licence showing the registration, TIN and licence numbers where present. Compare each number separately; these identifiers are not interchangeable. [1]
Try official verification
On the ministry page, open the link in the “License verification” row. Use the exact registration, tax or licence number where possible. Search results are limited to 50 records. [1]
Request a specific authority confirmation
If the search fails or formal evidence is needed, address an inquiry to MoIC with the company name, all available identifiers and the evidence required. Current ministry contacts are info@moci.gov.af, +93 20 250 0328, Darulaman Road, District 3, Kabul. Confirm the responsible office, third-party access, authorisation, charges and output format first. Documents and fees
| Document / information | Contents and purpose | Fee | How to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business licence or existing registration evidence [1] [3] | Starting point for official identifier verification. Check currency and identifiers with the competent authority. | Ask in advance about charges for authority confirmation or a replacement copy. | First request the existing document from the company. |
| Articles of Incorporation [2] | Constitutional document containing owners, shares and company provisions, according to the older official description. | Request the fee from the responsible registry. | Request the current version and amendments from the company; establish access to an authority-certified copy with ACBRIP. |
Document languages
In July 2026, the ministry reported on national languages in company names and licences and on adding translations of foreign terms. Record both the original script and any existing English name. The announcement guarantees neither an English registry certificate nor a bilingual document for every request. [3]
Company documents
A licence result is not full access to the company file. Ownership and signing authority require the relevant current documents and confirmation that they remain current. The older procedure describes filing the constitutional document and later changes. [2]
