It covers traders, non-profit legal entities, and Bulgarian branches of foreign traders or foreign non-profit legal entities. The company identifier is the most reliable starting point. [1] [6]

Search step by step
Find a company and its register status
Search by name
Under References, choose Reference by natural person or legal entity and select Legal entity. Enter Company/name or UIC/PIC/Bulstat. Start with the Cyrillic spelling of a Bulgarian name. [6]
Open the current view
Open the matching company link and check its identifier, legal form and registered office. State of play alternatively provides direct UIC search with an as-of date. The public view includes management, capital and, where applicable, member information. [6] [1]
Order an electronic certificate
Use identified access
Sign in with the authentication method linked to your account. Open Electronic services, certificate issuance and Удостоверение за актуално състояние. Enter the UIC and retrieve the company details. [7] [4]
Specify the date and email
Select the date for which the register status should be certified and the delivery email address. Check the displayed fee and use an electronic payment method offered for certificates. [7] [4]

Legal forms and document content
Covered forms include OOD (дружество с ограничена отговорност, limited liability company), its single-member form EOOD, and AD (акционерно дружество, joint-stock company). The official tariff also lists sole traders, partnerships, associations, foundations and variable-capital companies. [3]
Structured information covers the name, legal form, registered office, management, objects, members and capital where applicable to the legal form. The file holds applications and supporting instruments. Insolvency, liquidation, pledges and reorganisations have specific register entries or search routes. [1] [6]
Access from abroad
The public search and current company view require neither an account nor Bulgarian identity credentials. The registration form marks email and password as required. This initial registration does not itself establish rights to protected scans or certificates. [6] [4]
For these services, your account needs a linked signature method, a Revenue Agency code or a Registry Agency certificate. Apply for an Agency certificate at a local office with proof of identity. The state signature login requires a Bulgarian personal number. [5] [4] [6]
Page-based fees in euros
The euro tariff published on 30 December 2025 specifies €1.28 for the first page of an original electronic document and €0.77 per additional page. Paper certificates, certified paper copies and written reports cost €2.56 plus €1.02 per additional page. Applying these rates, a three-page certificate costs €2.82 electronically or €4.60 on paper. [2] [3]
These are government document fees. The Agency distinguishes electronic payment methods and notes additional commissions for certain payment providers. Paper certificates can be requested at its local offices. [4] [1]
Electronic certificates can be paid for through the government electronic payment portal or ePay. Alternatively, use a prepaid balance in the register portal. ePay supports card payment for registered users; cash top-ups are available at EasyPay counters. Payment providers may charge their own commissions. [4]
Read the actual annual accounts
The register publishes annual accounts that are legally subject to disclosure. Viewing published documents is free. The Г2 application form and the financial statement itself are different documents; a filing reference alone does not contain the balance-sheet figures. [9] [4]
Beneficial owners and control chains
Beneficial ownership particulars form part of the register entries. The official guide distinguishes directly and indirectly controlling legal entities (fields 537 and 538), natural-person beneficial owners (550), the contact person (550а) and notices of reported discrepancies (551а). [1] [11]
The guide directs readers to the current register view for registered particulars and История, History, for earlier entries. Members, contact persons and beneficial owners are distinct roles. Read the labelled fields and their history instead of treating one shareholder name as the entire control chain. [11] [1]
Data access for larger research projects
The Agency offers the complete database with updates for an annual government fee of €51.13. Access requires a request, contract and payment. Specialised automated access with a minimum prepayment of €51.13, and company-event notifications at €0.20 each, are separate tariff items. [3] [12]
Language versions of filed documents
Applications and their attachments must be filed in Bulgarian. Documents in another official EU language may also be filed with a certified Bulgarian translation. When requesting copies, ask for both language versions on file. [1]
