Choose the right register
Use the Business Registry for initial research. The Company Due Diligence document service is separate. A business can self-generate its own profile sheet through the designated service. An outside researcher uses the document request with a purpose declaration or verifies an existing sheet using its verification code. [1] [4] [3]

Search step by step
From the free company profile to official evidence
Search by name or registration number
Open the Business Registry and search by company name or registration number. Select “View Details” beside the correct result. This search is free and requires no account. [1]
Distinguish the company from an activity registration
A query may return both a Company result and Business Activity results. Check the company identifier and open the company profile. Depending on the entry, it shows management, shareholders and registered activities. [1]
Select the document and state your purpose
Open Company Due Diligence on oneGov. Sign in with eFaas and choose the profile sheet, incumbency or good-standing certificate. As a third party, state the purpose of the request. For the two certificates, the company must have been registered for more than one year. [4]
Complete payment and download
After a chargeable request is approved, payment notification arrives by email and SMS. Open My Applications and pay through BandeyriPay. After processing and payment verification, the document is available to download in the account. The guidance gives two working days. [4]

Which information is publicly visible
The company profile contains the company type, registration identifiers, address, status and SME classification. Further sections cover management and shareholders with appointment or joining dates. Activities have their own registration, status and address details. The shareholder table does not list ownership percentages. Completed fields vary by entry. [1]
Third parties may request documents with a stated purpose
The guidance updated on 19 July 2026 expressly allows third parties to request profile sheets. Third-party incumbency and good-standing requests also require a purpose declaration. When the company applies, an authorised representative must act. The guidance lists no supporting documents for these three request types. Identification through eFaas remains a separate requirement. Sign-in and identity verification from abroad
eFaas is not restricted to Maldivian nationals. Its official FAQ gives a combination of country code and passport number as the username for other foreign users without a work permit. A verified identity can also be used abroad. For manual passport verification, the service describes a passport copy, passport-size photo and a photo holding the passport data page; a video-call alternative is offered. These are identity requirements, not a promise that every payment method is accepted. [5] [6]
Generate your own sheet immediately or verify an existing one
“Corporate Profile Sheet & Data Correction” is for registered businesses and their authorised representatives. They can generate the sheet with a unique code. A recipient can use that code on the public “Verification” page to check the sheet. This does not require a new paid document request. [3] [2]
Digital documents and the paper-stamp policy
The ministry continues to publish its 31 October 2022 notice on electronic documents for registered businesses. It ended additional ministry stamping of profile sheets and registration certificates from 1 November 2022. Current oneGov instructions confirm downloads within the user account. [7] [8] [4] [3]

Avoid common mistakes
- The public shareholder table lists names and joining dates, but not ownership percentages. Identifying beneficial owners requires additional information about control of the company. [1]
- Self-generation for your own business and a third-party request are separate routes. Only self-generation is described as immediate; the document application has a two-working-day timeframe. [3] [4]
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Maldivian identity card to search?
Public search requires neither an identity card nor an account. Official document requests require eFaas, which also supports foreign users. [1] [5] [4]
Which documents can a third party request?
