Choose the right register
KRS means “Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy”, the National Court Register. The Justice Ministry provides its central search service, while registry courts process entries. The KRS number links the company record to its financial documents. [3] [1]
CEIDG covers natural persons carrying on business, including individual partners in Polish civil-law partnerships. A business registered there need not have a KRS entry. [3]

Find the entity and its register extract
Search KRS with one identifier
Open the official KRS search. Use its KRS number, NIP, REGON or name. Start with a unique identifier where available. [3] [1]

Compare the name and registered office. Read the representation rule. [2]
Download the current or full online record
Choose the information corresponding to “odpis aktualny” or “odpis pełny”. The full version is useful for previous names or officer changes. The public search does not require an account. [1] [3]
Retrieve financial statements
Copy the KRS number
Find the correct company first. The official “Przeglądarka dokumentów finansowych”, or financial document viewer, requires its KRS number. [4]
Open the relevant reporting period
Search the viewer using that number and download the available document. Check its financial year against the period you need. Search and download are free without an account. [4]
Research beneficial owners in CRBR
Choose an entity or person search
Select “Wyszukaj” in CRBR. For an entity, use exactly one of NIP, KRS or name. A person search uses PESEL, or date of birth together with first and last name when no PESEL was reported. [10]
Set the time period
Leave the dates blank for the current record. “Data od” and “Data do” define a historical period. “Data początku rejestru CRBR” sets the start to 13 October 2019. [10] [9]
Open details and save the result
Use the magnifying-glass icon for rights and shareholding details. Save the result as PDF or XML. Historical results can contain several distinct periods. [10] [9]

Register record, accounts and registration file
The KRS record contains legal form and representation information. It can also indicate financial filings or proceedings. A reference to filed accounts is not the accounts themselves: open the separate financial document repository. [2] [4]
The electronic registration file contains applications and supporting documents from proceedings conducted electronically since 1 July 2021, following completion. The official EU profile points to the competent registry court’s paper file for earlier application documents. The financial document repository is a separate collection. [3]
What CRBR says about control
CRBR records natural persons who ultimately control a reporting entity. For companies, relevant conditions include more than 25% of shares or voting rights and other forms of control. In specified circumstances a senior managing official is reported. [7]
Its coverage includes companies, cooperatives and foundations. The authority identifies an exception for public listed companies. Beneficial owners of sole traders are not reported to CRBR. [7]
The data is supplied by people authorised to report for the entity. Check its continued registration separately in KRS. [8]
Access from abroad
Official KRS search and financial document retrieval require no user account. Their published public-access rules do not require Polish electronic identification for reading these records. Accounts used to file documents serve a different purpose. [1] [4]
The Finance Ministry also explicitly describes CRBR as public and free for everyone. Use “Wyszukaj” to retrieve information. Signing requirements for submitting ownership reports are separate from the public search. [8] [10]
When to order a separate official document
The official guidance confirms that a self-downloaded current KRS extract has the same standing as an office-issued document and does not need an additional official stamp. Specific certificates and separately issued extracts can be requested from Centralna Informacja KRS, the central register information office. [2]
A written order identifies the document and delivery address and includes payment evidence. Payment details depend on the office receiving the request. The official fee page also specifies the international-transfer route. [2] [5]

Why is a sole trader missing from KRS?
Natural persons carrying on business, including individual partners in civil-law partnerships, fall under CEIDG. Use the official Biznes.gov.pl search. [3]
Do Polish accounts cost PLN 30 or PLN 60?
Available financial document downloads are free. PLN 30 and PLN 60 apply to separately issued KRS extracts. [4] [6]
How quickly does CRBR provide the result?
The authority states a maximum of five minutes for a current record and the end of the next working day for a historical period. These are published processing limits, not a promise of instant display. [8]
