Choose the right register
The trade register is called Ticaret Sicili. Local registry offices within chambers of commerce maintain entries under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade. MERSİS is the central electronic system. TOBB publishes the statutory notices in the Türkiye Ticaret Sicili Gazetesi. [1] [6]
A Gazette issue records the published event at a particular date. Establishing current signing authority may require following several subsequent changes. Contact the competent local registry office if you need the underlying filed documents. [1] [2] [8]

Search step by step
Find notices and choose a copy
Use a Gazette account
Open the Gazette and choose Giriş (sign in). Under Üye Ol (register), Şahıs is the membership type for an individual. The form requests a name and email address; the trade registration number is explicitly optional. The login also offers e-Devlet, the government’s digital access portal. [5]
Select the registry and search term
After signing in, open İlan Görüntüleme (view notices). Under Sicil Müdürlüğü, select the local registry. Search by the business name (unvan) or local registration number (sicil numarası). If some issues are missing, run separate searches by name and by number. [8]
Read the relevant issue
Open the PDF issue for the required date. Match the registry and company identifier. Read the notice itself and check subsequent amendments when you need the current position. [8] [2] [9]
Order certification if required
For a certified copy, use the basket icon and select E-imza or Islak imza. The electronic copy and receipt appear under Taleplerim (my requests). TOBB does not send the electronic copy by email. [8] [7]
Use MERSİS and the local registration file
Prepare the identifiers
Record the registered name, local registry office and registration number. Also retain the 16-digit MERSİS number if available. The numbers refer to different registration levels. [2] [8]
Open the enquiry menu
Open MERSİS and sign in through Giriş. The ministry’s FAQ then directs users to Sorgular → Firma Sorgu (queries → company enquiry) for basic company information. The function is available to any registered user who has signed in. [2]
Request underlying records
For inspection of the registration file or certified copies from it, use the Ticaret Sicili Müdürlükleri directory to locate the competent office. Identify the business and the document required. The statutory inspection right is general; the competent office determines the charge for the particular register document. [1] [11]
Find financial reports on KAP
Open Detailed Search
Open KAP in English and choose Detailed Search. Company Notifications covers company disclosures; Fund Notifications covers funds. Select the appropriate company group and the business under Companies. [14]
Set the reporting period
Set Date Interval or Start Date / End Date. The default Today covers only the current publication day. Expand Detailed Search and choose Financial Reports under Notification Type. Additional filters include the audit opinion and audit firm. [14]
Distinguish statements from supporting reports
Open the Financial Report result. Check Year and Period, the presentation currency and whether it is Consolidated or Unconsolidated. An Operating Review describes operations; a Representation Letter is a declaration by those responsible. Neither replaces the financial statements. The report view includes its PDF attachments. Covered businesses and events
Trade registries cover individual traders and commercial companies. The ministry’s FAQ specifically includes Limited Şirket and Anonim Şirket, commercial partnerships, cooperatives and branches. MERSİS processes incorporations and subsequent registry changes. [1] [2]
Changes to the address, capital or signing authority are particularly relevant to research. Transformations and liquidations are also among the events described by the ministry. Availability of a particular document online depends on the publication or retrieval service. [2] [1]
The Gazette states that it has digitised every issue since its first publication on 21 February 1957. Search using the published company name. A subsequent name change is a reason to search by the local registration number as well. [6] [8]
Registration and use from abroad
The Gazette requires login for free viewing. Its individual registration form uses an email address and password; having your own Turkish trade registration number is not mandatory. Unvan Sorgulama, the name-use check, opens without login but requires a security code. It checks a business name and does not provide a certified register copy. [5] [10]
MERSİS uses a separate account. Its current Pasaport No ile Kullanıcı Kayıdı registration route is for passport holders. The form also requests a tax number (Vergi No), nationality and a mobile phone number. Prepare these details before registering. [4] [5]
KAP permits searching and opening published financial reports without an account. The English interface does not automatically translate every filed attachment. Some English attachments are specifically marked in the result list. [14] [15] [13]
For Gazette orders from abroad, account access and payment are separate issues. The published tariff gives a delivery service surcharge. Confirm an overseas destination and the accepted payment method with the Gazette office before ordering. Electronic copies do not require postal delivery. [7]
Match the fee to the product
Ordinary Gazette viewing is free after login. Under the 2026 tariff, an electronically signed certified copy costs 75 TRY. A wet-ink signed version costs 225 TRY. TOBB lists a further 103.60 TRY for delivery to an address; collection at the Gazette office counter avoids this surcharge. [5] [7]
These prices apply to Gazette copies. They are not a universal tariff for registry certificates or local chamber services. The ministry describes MERSİS E-Belge as an electronic application and payment route for company representatives obtaining registry documents. [7] [3] [1]
Beneficial ownership and ownership information
The Revenue Administration collects declarations of Gerçek faydalanıcı, meaning beneficial owners. MASAK’s 2025 guidance expressly states that this register is not publicly accessible because of tax confidentiality. A company-name search in the Gazette does not open these tax records. [16]
MASAK describes an alternative document from the Digital Tax Office: the taxpayer obtains it and supplies it to its counterparty. Obliged entities can verify the QR code and compare the information with their own beneficial-ownership findings. The document reflects the information declared to the register. [16]
The official anti-money-laundering guidance starts with natural persons holding more than 25% of the shares and then considers ultimate control. A manager or signatory named in a notice should therefore not be classified as a beneficial owner solely because of that role. [16]
Annual accounts and capital-market reports
KAP publishes capital-market disclosures and financial reports for the issuers and funds within its scope. This includes companies with capital-market instruments traded on Borsa Istanbul. KAP is consequently not a comprehensive accounts archive for all privately held Turkish companies. All Companies also refers to entities within this service. [13] [12] [14]
Financial reporting may include financial statements with notes, an operating review and a representation letter. Check the year and period: Annual identifies an annual report, while 6 Months identifies a half-year period. Distinguish separate from consolidated accounts and check the stated unit, such as 1,000 TL. [12] [14] [15]
Additional search for Istanbul
The Istanbul Chamber’s company search has separate fields for trade registration and chamber registration numbers. Other search sections cover business names and economic activity. The form includes a CAPTCHA. For registered and published events, the page itself directs readers to MERSİS and the Gazette. [19]
Bulk data and subscriptions
TOBB sells separate annual subscriptions delivering Gazette data through a web service. The 2026 prices are 484,932 TRY for Düzey_1, 951,792 TRY for Düzey_2 and 1,427,688 TRY for Düzey_3. A complete single-day issue with an index costs 2,730 TRY. These products are data-delivery services, not a prerequisite for free individual research. [9] [5]
Düzey_1 supplies image PDFs with an index. Düzey_2 adds searchable PDFs and further register fields; the stated PDF searchability excludes financial tables. Düzey_3 adds more detailed company and participation data. TOBB explicitly warns of possible errors in notice-type classification. Base your analysis on the published text itself. [9]

The TOBB template shows the fields in a Gazette notice: registry office, registration number, business name and liquidator. The fields are blank. This is a publication template, not a current register extract. [17] [18]
Avoid common mistakes
- Free Gazette research still requires an account. The paid bulk-data subscription is not required for this purpose. [5] [9]
- A certified copy authenticates the selected notice. It does not automatically combine every subsequent change into a current extract. [7] [8] [2]
- Unvan Sorgulama and the search for published notices serve different purposes. [10] [1] [8]
- In the Istanbul form, chamber and trade registration numbers are separate search fields. Do not assume that a number belongs in both fields. [19]
- On KAP, consolidated accounts can cover a different group of entities from the separate accounts you need. Also check the reporting period and the unit of the figures. [14] [15]
- TOBB provides electronically signed copies in Taleplerim. Do not rely solely on receiving an email attachment after an order. [7]
