Choose the right register

OCP means One Common Portal. It includes services of the Registry of Companies and Business Names, or ROCBN. Companies and Business Names are separate registry categories. A registered business name is not the same as an incorporated company. [1] [2] [3]

Access as an outside researcher

Section 290 of the Companies Act allows any person to inspect registry documents for the prescribed fee and request certified copies or extracts. Public search does not require identity documents. Further online requests require sign-in, with “Foreign Passport” available as an identification option. [5] [1]

Extracts, copies and certification have different fees

Schedule 8 lists BND 30 for an electronic Company Extract and BND 5 per electronic filing. A photographic or microprint copy costs BND 2 per page or part-page, rising to BND 4 when certified by the Registrar. Document inspection is listed at BND 5. Free public search provides the public results view instead. [5] [1]

Electronic certificates and extracts

The statutory tariff provides for electronic company extracts. The OCP guide shows an English extract and explains delivery of document attachments after incorporation. Separate business-name guides describe PDF downloads under “My Entities”, “Registry” and “Request Extract” or “Request Certificate”. That download route applies to entries managed in your own account. [5] [2] [3] [4]

Paper and international delivery

You can request certified copies and extracts. If you need a paper document, contact ROCBN at info.rocbn@mof.gov.bn. Specify the document and your destination country. [5] [1]

Official samples and reading guides

Avoid common mistakes

  • The example company extract is in English and the business-name certificate is bilingual. Ask about translation options for the particular document you need. [2] [4]
  • The business-name instructions for My Entities and Request Extract concern records in the account. An outside researcher starts with public search and Request Information. [3] [1]

Frequently asked questions
