Choose the right register
DGRNI and the competent Conservatórias maintain the registers. INCV publishes information from the Empresa no Dia procedure, covering in particular public companies and limited-liability companies. [1] [3]
The Certidão contains the registry identifier, company name, legal form, NIF and registered location. It also covers objects, activity codes, capital, ownership interests, management and signing authority, with registry entries and annotations. [2]

Search step by step
Retrieve public records
Search INCV
Open “Empresa no Dia”. Enter a distinctive part of the name under “Empresa” and select “Pesquisar”. You can also search by date (“Data”), registered location (“Sede”) or tax identifier (NIF). No account is required. [1]
Expand the result
Open the company row and check the NIF, date and registered location. Under “Certidão”, “Conteudo” opens the linked certificate as a Portuguese PDF. Under “Documentos”, “Pacto” may link to the company’s articles. [1] [2]
Check validity
Check “Validade” and the dates of the entries. The print date and validity date serve different purposes. Obtain a fresh certificate when you need a current document. [2]
Request a fresh certificate
Select Certidão Comercial on the Justice portal
Sign in through AUTENTIKA. Have the company name, NIF and registry identifier ready, then select the document and payment method. [3] [4]
Use the registry office if online access is unavailable
Approach the Conservatória named on an existing certificate or use the Justice portal to establish the competent office. For PEO access enquiries, the platform lists info@empresaonline.gov.cv and +238 800 2008. Overseas applicants should confirm identification, representation and delivery before ordering. [2] [5] [3]

PEO: announced functions and actual access
PEO stands for Plataforma Empresa Online. Its homepage expressly describes a beta for pilot users. Under Serviços, Certidões is marked Brevemente, meaning coming soon. Portaria 33/2026 regulates electronic registry certificates and their equivalence to certificates issued in person. Public access to the PEO certificate service is not documented. [5] [6] [7]
How to interpret the fee information
Article 4 of Portaria 33/2026 refers electronic certificates to the applicable registration and notarial fee schedule. The table linked on the Justice website lists CVE 200 plus CVE 200 stamp duty, totalling CVE 400, for Certidão ou fotocópia de atos. The file is labelled Maquete, a design proof. Confirm the amount applicable to your order. The CVE 10,000 mentioned in the Portaria concerns incorporation, amendment or closure and is not an extract price. [7] [8]
