Choose the right register
MCI means Ministère du Commerce et de l’Industrie, the ministry of commerce and industry. Guichet is its digital service portal. According to the form, Recherche d’antériorité checks whether a commercial name, trademark or business designation is already registered. It is not itself a complete company extract. [1]

Search step by step
Identify the business and request the right evidence
Search the name and type
Open “Recherche d’antériorité” and enter the name. If needed, select the company category: “Société anonyme”, “Société de personnes” or “Société étrangère”. Trading names (“Nom commercial”), trademarks (“Marque”) and patents (“Brevet”) are separate categories. Complete the portal’s security check to continue. [1]
Collect identifiers
Ask the business for its full legal name, legal form, registry number and, where relevant, CIP number. The SNC/SCS procedure identifies the date, register, folio and number. Include these details in the authority request. [2] [3]
Request specific evidence from MCI
For a company file or copy, contact MCI and identify the document and purpose of the inquiry. Official contact: communication@mci.gouv.ht, +509 2810 3629 or +509 2810 3648. Ask specifically about third-party access, authorisation, price, language and electronic or postal delivery. [2] [3]

What is offered digitally
In October 2024 MCI announced a platform for name registration and prior-name checks. Applying entrepreneurs were to receive certificates by email. The digitalised CIP was also launched in December 2025. Both statements concern administrative services for applicants. The announcements do not promise a specific file format such as PDF. [4] [5]
Which documents show registration
For SNCs and SCSs, MCI describes a notarised constitutive document whose details are registered by DAJ. Following the required newspaper publication, a signed and sealed copy carrying the registration endorsement is returned. The CIP instead certifies commercial identity. A registered name, a CIP and a registered constitutive document answer different questions. [3] [2]
Foreign applicants and authorisation
The CIP guidance lists a passport and residence document for foreign applicants. An application in the holder’s absence requires a notarial mandate. These are requirements for issuance of the applicant’s own CIP. MCI must separately confirm the requirements for obtaining another entity’s file copy. [2] [1]
