OMPIC is the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property. Its Central Trade Register brings together company documents supplied by local court registries. DirectInfo provides online access to this legal and financial information, covering registered individual traders as well as legal entities. [1]

Identify the company and choose the right documents

Start with the business name
Open DirectInfo and enter the legal or trading name in „rechercher par mot clé“. This search also covers industrial property records. Choose „Recherche avancée“ to focus on companies. [1] [4]
Narrow the results
Use „Dénomination/Enseigne“ for the legal or trading name. Filters include legal form, business activity and city. Enter known identifiers in „Numéro RC“ or „numéro ICE“. Advanced search requires the displayed security code. [4]
Choose the legal profile
Open the relevant company. „Fiche légale simplifiée“ contains identification details, representatives and registered legal events in the last twelve months. „Fiche légale détaillée“ adds the history of events since creation. [5]

What the records contain

Legal information comes from declarations and documents filed with court registries and centralised by OMPIC. The simplified legal profile includes the creation date and legal form. It also records capital, activities and establishments, together with company representatives. [1] [5]

DirectInfo distinguishes filed financial statements from financial profiles and ratios derived from those statements. For a particular accounting figure, order the statements for the relevant financial year. A financial profile can be useful for comparing several years. [1]

Why a recent change may be missing

DirectInfo says court declarations and legal documents arrive monthly, in the first week of the following month. They become available as they are processed, no later than the end of the month of receipt. A change recently filed at a local registry can therefore be absent from the central profile. [5]

Accounts, payment and access from abroad

OMPIC’s guide describes searching and account creation as free. Orders use a DirectInfo account with an email address and password. The published payment terms list Visa, Mastercard and CMI. Transactions are in Moroccan dirhams (MAD), and execution follows authorisation by the cardholder’s bank. [1] [6]

When researching from abroad, access to the portal and an accepted payment method are the practical requirements. OMPIC’s customer service is the direct contact for a rejected payment; using a paid intermediary need not be the first step. [6]

How to read the official prices

Both OMPIC tariff lists linked by the portal give the same amounts for Trade Register documents. The prices below are marked “TTC”, meaning tax included. They are distinct from free searching and from the separate DirectInfo profile products. [2] [3]

The card-payment terms describe the order form as showing a net amount with tax calculated separately. Compare the final total before payment. The tariff footnote excludes payment and authentication operator charges. [2] [6]

OMPIC has two tariff groups. The first covers categories including small businesses and individuals; the second covers other users. OMPIC advertises discounts of up to 50% for online services. Beneficial ownership requires a separate request

OMPIC also maintains the Registre public des bénéficiaires effectifs (RBE). Its public-access notice describes an application to OMPIC, using the form available on the RBE portal. Inspection is subject to fees. [7]

Frequently asked questions

Is DirectInfo a private credit agency?

No. OMPIC operates it as the official platform for Central Trade Register information. It sells both structured information products and filed documents. [1]

Can I download financial statements free of charge?

Searching is free. Annual accounts are paid documents. The OMPIC tariff lists “États de synthèse” at MAD 360 including tax. Online services may qualify for discounts; check the price of your selected document before paying. [1] [2] [11]

Is an official sample available?
