Choose the right register
EDBM states that an RCS is held at each Tribunal de Première Instance and is accessible to everyone. Jurisdiction follows the company’s registered office. Commercial registration, tax NIF and statistical registration are separate records. [1]
The RNCS-CM portal brings together information from local RCS offices. Depending on the record, company details include the registration number, name, address, registration date, capital, legal form, activity and management. Orinasa is a separate business-formation service. [5] [6] [2] [10]

Obtain information on an existing company
Search the public register
Choose “Recherche d’Entreprise”. For a company, select “B-Personne morale” and the responsible registry under “Greffe RCS”. Enter the company name under “Dénomination / Raison sociale”. For the registration number, the form asks for the numeric part only. “Liste d’Entreprise” also lets you filter by registry, year, entity type and legal form. Open “+ d’Infos” for a result. Match RCS number and registered office
Have the full company name, RCS number and registered office ready. The official B1 form shows the details required for a registry filing, including legal form, capital, activities and representation. [3] [1]
Identify the competent court

Beneficial ownership uses a separate access route
The tax administration’s RCBE is a separate authenticated service for taxpayers or authorised representatives and eligible authorities. This is not equivalent to an open RCS search. [4]
Request an official extract from the court registry
The registry FAQ names the court of first instance registry as the issuing office for RCS extracts. “Commander un extrait” is restricted to paid members. For a request from abroad, confirm ordering and delivery with the responsible court registry before paying for membership. [8] [7]
The published schedule under Order 15981/2011 lists 2,000 ariary for an RCS extract and 1,000 ariary for an extract issued by the national RNCS. It lists certified copies at 500 ariary per page and ordinary file copies at 200 ariary per page. Confirm the total, including any delivery charges, when ordering. [9]
