Choose the right register
INSEE explicitly includes Martinique in Sirene’s general coverage. French RNE company-data services apply; this territory is not among INPI’s stated exclusions. Search by company name or SIREN, then check the registered office and establishments before choosing a document. [11] [12] [10]
INPI has operated the RNE since 2023. It covers commercial, craft, agricultural and independent business activities. French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Wallis and Futuna fall outside the territorial RNE scope described here. The RCS and Kbis issued by court registries remain a separate route to official evidence. Identify a business and save free evidence
Search DATA INPI
Enter the SIREN or company name. Narrow by department, legal form or date. Advanced search also supports representatives, activity classifications and addresses. [1]
Check the description
Compare the name, registered office and identifier. The “Description” tab contains core legal information. Download the RNE certificate and record its date. INPI also describes searching by SIRET or trading name. [9] [3]
Add original filings
Open “Documents associés”, sign in and select the account or company document. Check the financial year or the date of the individual filing. [9]

Use Infogreffe
Search by SIREN or company name. Select the correct RCS entity and choose electronic or postal delivery. Free MonIdenum retrieval applies to the company’s own director and their own business. [4]

Available information and historical coverage
The basic profile includes legal form, business activity, capital and representatives. A Kbis adds the court-register record, including recorded safeguard, restructuring and judicial-liquidation decisions. Privacy measures may limit which personal fields are publicly disclosed. [4] [9]
DATA INPI updates its dataset daily. Company acts include articles, incorporation documents and meeting minutes dating from 1993. Non-confidential accounts in the described digital collection date from 2017. [1] [8]
Accounts and access from abroad
Anyone may consult public RNE data. The DATA INPI account guidance specifies a name and email address; public research does not require forming a French company. Filing through the Guichet unique, own-company MonIdenum access and beneficial-ownership approval are separate procedures. [2] [9] [4] [6]
Beneficial ownership
General public access has been restricted since 31 July 2024. In addition to authorities and regulated professionals, applicants demonstrating a legitimate interest may qualify. Use INPI Connect to submit the signed form and supporting evidence. An approved request for one entity produces a PDF summary by email. [6]
Permitted fields include names, month and year of birth, residence country, nationality, and the nature and extent of the interest. Official guidance updated in April 2026 describes a three-year access certificate. The new twelve-day decision period applies only to applications submitted from 10 November 2026. [7]
Data for repeated research
INPI supplies RNE data free through APIs or SFTP. Manage access under “Mes accès API / SFTP” in your account. Company data use JSON; acts use PDF. INPI describes both JSON and PDF for accounts. Confidential filings do not become public through this route. [8]
Kbis, articles and accounts from the local registry
The Fort-de-France registry sites offer free company identification and a free list of recent filings. Their tables labelled 1 January 2026 list complete accounts and articles/filings at €9.08 for online viewing or €10.67 by post. Compare the dated local table with the order screen. [13]

Can I obtain another company’s Kbis free through MonIdenum?
The free MonIdenum route is for a business leader obtaining their own company’s extract. Infogreffe provides chargeable third-party retrieval. [4]
Can I search for a director?
Yes. INPI lists representatives as an advanced company-search criterion. Match any result against the company identifier and registered office. [1]
