Search step by step
Use the public profile, then request the required file
Open the public CIPO search
Use the direct search link. Search by company name, number or officer name. The name search is available without sign-in or payment. [1]
Match the company profile
Open the company name. Overview includes the number, status, registered office, company type and an Incorporated on field. Use the original certificate for historic formation evidence rather than relying solely on this date field. [1]
Check control information and filing history separately
“Persons with significant control” provides details of controlling persons or organisations and the nature of their control. Contact CIPO for filed documents. [1]
Contact the registry for file copies
Use companies.registry@fsc.ms or +1 664 491 6887 or 6888. Supply the company name and number. Specify the document and date, scan or paper, and plain or certified form. [1] [2]
Confirm the total and delivery
The regulations separate searches, copies and certification. Confirm the number of pages or scans and the applicable search service. For remote access, also confirm file format, payment and any international shipping. [2] [1]

Public information and its limits
Company summaries cover current and former names, officers, control information and insolvency details. The control tab identifies the nature of control. [1]
Paper and scanned copy fees
Schedule 4 of the Companies Regulations 2024 lists XCD 50 for an in-person or electronic register search. A search conducted by the Registrar on behalf of an applicant costs XCD 100. Uncertified copying is XCD 10 per printed page or XCD 10 per scan. Document certification is XCD 100. These official services are separate from the free public profiles. [2] [1]
What Good Standing certifies
Regulation 165 requires confirmation that the company is on the register and has paid fees and penalties due under the Act at the certificate date. It also requires statements about specified pending reorganisations, liquidation, receivership and strike-off proceedings. This provides more context than a simple Active label. It does not certify general creditworthiness. [2] [1]
Request registry records from abroad
Public search and company details are available without an account. Scans are a separate copying service. Request the document from CIPO and state whether you need certification. [1] [2]
