Choose the right register
Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), the Companies Commission of Malaysia, supplies company registration information. Its designated distribution portals are SSM e-Info, MYDATA-SSM, SSM Search and SSM SAFEDATA. These provide access to SSM information. SSM e-Info is operated by Raffcomm Technologies. [1] [3] [14]
A Company Profile is the practical starting point for researching one company. It combines its current registration status with reported addresses, activities, capital, officers and shareholders. A document image instead reproduces a particular filing. [1]

Find and download an SSM company profile
Create an SSM e-Info account
Open SSM e-Info and choose Register. Select an Individual or Corporate account and enter your own contact and address details. Activate the account using the emailed verification link. Then log in with your username and password. [3] [4]
Search by name or registration number
Choose Search Entity. Enter the company name or registration number and select the matching result. Check the name, number and Company, Business or LLP category before selecting a product. [2] [3] [5]
Choose the document you need
Select Company Profile for an overview. For a particular filing, select Document and Form Images, accept the displayed conditions and choose Proceed to View. The document listing and individual download are charged separately. Select DCTC if you need a digitally certified copy. [1] [5]
Check the basket and final price
Use Add To Cart, then View In Cart. The purchase guide shows e-Account wallet, credit/debit card and FPX online banking. Check the total including service costs before choosing Continue to Payment. [5]
Save the PDF
Download the document after payment. Details in Transaction History provides repeat access. Save the file immediately: the portal retains the PDF for only seven days from purchase. Keep the order number if you need support for a failed download. [3] [5]

Identify the Labuan registration
If the registration points to Labuan, open REEFS at the Labuan Financial Services Authority. It covers Labuan-registered entities including companies, foundations, trusts and partnerships. [8]
Enter the exact name or number
Enter the exact full entity name or registration number. The authority explicitly requires an exact input. A spelling variation can therefore produce an unreliable negative result. [8]

Use the free result to check existence and status. SSM profiles and the SSM prices below belong to the SSM route. The Labuan registry authority is responsible for additional Labuan records. [1] [8]

SSM and Labuan have separate responsibilities
SSM e-Info distinguishes Company Profile (ROC), Business Profile (ROB) and LLP Profile. Search for a private Sdn. Bhd. as a Company. A Business profile relates to a registered business; an LLP profile to a limited liability partnership. Labuan has its own registration route through the Labuan Financial Services Authority. EzBiz is SSM’s service for registering, changing, renewing and terminating one’s own business registration. Its eligibility conditions for business owners are separate from purchasing company information through e-Info. [13] [3]
What a company profile contains
The Company Profile gives the company name, registration number, incorporation date, type and status, plus registered and business addresses. It also includes activities, capital, directors/officers, shareholders, registered charges and financial information. Beneficial ownership information follows a separate route. [1] [6]
Specialist products have different historical limits. Directors/Officers includes previous particulars for the last 15 years. The registered-address product covers changes from 31 January 2017. The shareholder product is based on the ten most recent filed change dates. These are defined reporting windows, rather than an unlimited company history. [1]
Access from abroad
SSM e-Info describes its service as accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. The registration form includes foreign address countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You register your own buyer account; the documented profile purchase process does not require acting on behalf of the company being researched. [3] [4] [5]
Registration requires contact details and email activation. The purchase guide offers credit/debit cards alongside wallet funds and FPX online banking. FPX is the online banking payment option named in the guide. For an overseas purchase, choose a payment method available to you at checkout. [3] [4] [5]
Official fees and portal prices
SSM’s base fee for an ordinary Company Profile is MYR 10. Digital certification raises that base fee to MYR 20. Distributor service charges are additional, with 8% service tax on the service charge. The current SSM e-Info price list therefore shows MYR 15.40 and MYR 30.80 respectively. MYR is the Malaysian ringgit, also shown as RM on these portals. [1] [2]

Financial statements and the annual return
The Annual Return reports registration particulars at the anniversary of incorporation or registration and is due within 30 days afterwards. Financial Statements and Reports are the financial reporting documents. SSM’s Financial Comparison product compares figures from audited statements over two, three, five or ten years. Select a document image for the particular filing itself. [9] [1]
Not every available set of accounts is audited. Qualifying private companies can use audit exemptions but must still file unaudited financial statements and the other required documents. An Exempt Private Company can instead lodge an EPC status certificate in place of financial statements. [10] [11]
Beneficial ownership requires a separate application
Access to beneficial ownership information is restricted. Eligible applicants include beneficial owners seeking their own information and people they authorise in writing. Other eligible groups include the specified authorities, reporting institutions and the Ministry of Finance for government procurement. General interest alone is not listed as a separate access category. [6] [7]
SSM requires registration and verification through its central SSM4U account portal. Submit the application at the Menara SSM@Sentral counter in Kuala Lumpur. It requires the company registration number, application form and prescribed written authorisation. Written consent from all beneficial owners is required except for the specified exempt categories. The fee is MYR 20 per company and is non-refundable. The PDF is emailed within three working days of full payment. [6]
Multiple companies and structured information
SSM offers Company Listing as an Excel export based on selection criteria. Its packages separate basic details and addresses, officers and ownership, financial information, and charges. Corporate Insight Listing instead starts from supplied company registration numbers. Both are separately priced products rather than a free public data API. [1]

- The MYR 10 SSM Company Profile fee is the official base fee. The displayed current e-Info purchase price is MYR 15.40. [1] [2]
- Save the PDF within seven days. e-Info does not offer refunds for ordinary mistaken purchases; its FAQ lists exceptions for incomplete data or incomplete transactions. [3]
- An ACGS confirms specified SSM criteria. It is not a general credit assessment or a substitute for checking solvency. [1]
