Choose the right register

Under “Registry Services”, select Companies, Business Names, Charitable Associations or International Companies. A registered business name is a different register category from an incorporated company. [1] [3]

From a company name to an official document

Select a register and search term
Open “Registry Services”, select the entity category and choose “Register Search”. Enter a current or previous name or registration number in “Entity Name or Identifier”. [1]

Use “Advanced” to filter by entity type, status, registration period or business activity. Results show name, number, status, address and incorporation date. Open the matching record. [1]
Open a filing or certificate

Request a certified paper version when needed

What information is available?

Company results identify the entity and its status. Detailed records also include directors and shareholders. Role Search supports filters for role type, active or ceased roles, entity type, entity status and location. [1] [2]

Older files and other registers

The VFSC says some older documents remain in paper files. Its page refers to 31 August without giving a year, so this is not a reliable digitisation cutoff. Ask the VFSC about the specific missing historical filing. Security interests over movable property can be researched separately through the Personal Property Security Registry (PPSR). [1]

Match the fee to the register and document

The domestic-company schedule lists VUV 5,000 for a certified physical company extract or certificate of incorporation, and VUV 100 per A4 photocopy from a paper file. The separate International Companies schedule lists USD 25 for a copy or extract, USD 25 for a good-standing certificate and USD 10 for register inspection. These USD prices do not apply to ordinary domestic companies. [3]
