Choose the right register
The Ministry of Justice lists the Tribunal de Première Instance à Compétence Commerciale de Mata-Utu as the local commercial court. For company evidence, ask to be connected to its Greffe, the office handling registry requests. [1]
Names and abbreviations explained

Search step by step
Obtain the local company extract
Contact the local commercial court
Call +681 72 27 15, the number in the Justice directory. The court is in Mata-Utu, 98600 Uvea. Ask for the Greffe and its procedure for a Kbis or particular filed company documents. [1]
Identify the evidence required
Have the company name, local address and any RCS number ready. Specify Kbis if the recipient requires an official company extract. This helps distinguish the request from other records. [4] [1]
Agree ordering and delivery arrangements
Tell the court which document you need and provide your overseas address. Ask for the fee, payment method and required applicant details before ordering. [1]
Order the appropriate original if legalisation is required
For the ministry procedure described by France Diplomatie, the Kbis must be an original French document, less than three months old and signed by the local Greffe. That requirement belongs to this procedure. Check whether the recipient needs legalisation at all. [3]
Documents and fees
| Document / information | Contents and purpose | Fee | How to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extrait Kbis [1] [4] [3] | Official company extract confirming RCS registration. | Request a quote. | Call the local court on +681 72 27 15 and request an extract for the identified company. |
| Kbis for submission to the ministry legalisation procedure [1] [4] [3] | Original French Kbis, less than three months old and signed by the local Greffe. This is a requirement for the submitted Kbis, not additional register content. | Budget separately for the extract and any legalisation. The cited document list does not give the local extract fee. | First establish the recipient’s requirements. Request the required original from the Greffe and check the applicable France Diplomatie procedure. |
Why DATA INPI is not the complete local route
INPI describes RNE coverage for economic activity in France and expressly excludes Wallis and Futuna. Do not assume the free RNE certificate or mainland online procedure applies to a locally registered company. The competent court registry is the practical next contact. [2] [1]
What a Kbis establishes
An official Kbis confirms RCS registration and contains the updated core recorded particulars, including company name, identifier, address and management information. Ask the local Greffe which additional filed copies are accessible in the particular case. [4] [1]
Originals, translations and overseas use
France Diplomatie expressly lists Kbis from Wallis and Futuna among documents eligible for ministry legalisation. Its reference to a French Kbis describes the document’s origin. It confirms neither the issue language nor an international court mailing service. Arrange any required translation and delivery separately. [3]
