Choose the right register
Searching a company in the European Netherlands register does not automatically search the island registers. Start with the chamber responsible for the island where the company is based. [1] [8]
Names and abbreviations explained
- KvKKamer van Koophandel, Chamber of Commerce
- The KvK number identifies an entry in the relevant chamber’s register. [1]
- BESBonaire, St Eustatius and Saba
- Collective designation used in Dutch registry and fee rules for these three islands. [5]
- Access CodeCode for changing your own company’s details
- Bonaire’s manual requires this additional code only to change your own organisation’s details. Research and document purchases use a normal user account. [3]
Search step by step
Bonaire: order an online extract
Create an account and verify email
Open the Bonaire registry portal and choose a language. The form requires name, email, login credentials and address including country. Germany is an available country option. Verify the account through the emailed link. [7] [3]
Search for the company
After signing in, choose “Quick Actions” and “Search the Register”. Search by company name or KvK number and open the eye icon beside the result. [2]
Select and pay for the extract
Select the extract type in “reports” and add it to the basket. Pay by credit card in the portal, bank transfer or at the counter. For transfers, include the IN reference number and email payment confirmation to handelsregister@kvkbonaire.com. [2]
Retrieve the document in your account
After the email confirming dispatch, find the online extract under “purchased document”. The email is the notification; the document is held in the portal. [2]

Saba and St Eustatius: separate contact route
For Sint Eustatius and Saba, use registry.statiasabachamber.com. The portal requires sign-in. Its account form accepts foreign address countries and offers English or Dutch as the preferred account language. For Sint Eustatius documents, contact statia@statiasabachamber.com or +599 318 3332. Historical extracts and targeted statements
KvK Bonaire also answers historical questions, including former officers and trade names. Requests may cover the entire history or a limited period. Email handelsregister@kvkbonaire.com with company name, KvK number, period and specific question. Its table lists USD 30 for a written statement. [4] [6]
Additional costs for filed documents
The fee regulation distinguishes online viewing, paper extracts and copies. Copies cost USD 1.50 per page. On-site inspection costs USD 20 for up to 30 minutes or USD 40 per hour for longer use. These are research charges; the annual chamber contribution concerns the registered business. [5]
Avoid common mistakes
- Distinguish a normal research account from the code used to change your own company. Do not request authority over another company merely to purchase its extract. [3]
