Choose the right register
SCVS means Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros, the authority supervising companies, securities and insurance. Its information service concerns companies under its control. The local Registro Mercantil certifies corporate acts registered there, such as capital changes or appointments. Choose the authority according to the evidence needed. [1] [4]

Search step by step
Obtain the appropriate official evidence
Open the SCVS search through the official instructions
Open “Consulta de Compañías”. Select “Nombre” (Name) and enter the company name. Wait for the suggestions, then choose the company by checking its name, RUC and file number. Complete “No soy un robot” (I am not a robot) before continuing with “Consultar”. You can also search using “R.U.C.” or “Expediente”. [3] [2]
Choose the company and information type
According to the official instructions, open the selected company’s information menu. Choose general information, administrators, shareholders, corporate acts or compliance with obligations according to your purpose. [1] [2]
Generate the electronic certificate
Select “Imprimir” (Print) to generate the free electronic certificate. Its verification code lets you check its validity. [1]
Identify the competent office for a locally registered act
Apply to the registry where the corporate act was registered. Upload the signed application and payment receipt through the online form. [4]
Confirm payment and the required version
