Search step by step
From a name to the registry document
Activate the account and choose Mercantil
Open Oficina Virtual through the registry website. After signing in, select Consulta de Folios and Mercantil. Use available folio numbers or the advanced company-related criteria. [1] [2]
Check the match and its entries
Compare Nombre de la Sociedad, RUC, Estatus and Forma Jurídica. Open Mostrar Datos. Registros Electrónicos Vigentes/No vigentes contains available current or no-longer-current entries. Use Asiento and Descargar documento to download the relevant content. [2]
Order an official certificate where needed
Select Solicitar Certificados, the certificate type and the relevant electronic folio. Confirm the notification email. Keep Entrega Telemática selected for download or choose a collection office. Review the charge before paying. The manual lists Visa, Mastercard and Yappy. [3]
Check notifications and additional pages
For electronic delivery, an email link leads to the certificate. If it exceeds the paid page allowance, the registry sends a further payment link. In Mis Certificados, extend the date filter if the request falls outside the default 15-day window. [3]

Registry contents and history
The folio displays registry data and available entries. Prelación leads to transactions and their documents. Miembros Relacionados lists recorded current members, officers or representatives where those data exist for the folio. Inactive tabs may simply have no data. [2]
Check the certificate and validation evidence together
According to the registry circular, certificates issued from 1 March 2025 include validation evidence. Use as an original is single-use. The receiving organisation decides whether to accept simple copies and how recent a certificate must be. The circular states that no expiry date is printed. Agree the intended use with the recipient before ordering. [4]
Avoid a duplicate order after a payment problem
The manual covers cases where payment succeeds at the bank but is not yet reconciled by the registry. Use the provided Reintentar function and contact sistemas@registro-publico.gob.pa if the problem persists. The guidance expressly says not to create a new certificate request before resolving the issue. [3]
Avoid common mistakes
Frequently asked questions
Must someone collect the certificate in person?
Not if Entrega Telemática is selected. The manual describes an emailed download link for that option. If it is deselected, a registry collection office must be specified. [3]
Can I pay with a foreign card?
The portal accepts Visa and Mastercard. For an overseas payment, also check any restrictions imposed by your card issuer. [3]
