Paraguay: registry information through RUN and SIGRE

Company records fall within the legal-person and commercial registers. Since 2026, the registries have been brought together within Registro Unificado Nacional (RUN). The SIGRE online portal is exclusively for authorised lawyers and notaries. An eligible local representative is therefore a practical access route for an overseas company inquiry.

Choose the right register

The current RUN announcement places legal-person and commercial registers within Registros Especiales. Older pages still use Dirección General de los Registros Públicos (DGRP). These names reflect organisational changes and should not be read as two freely accessible parallel company databases. [2] [1]

Full registry copies carry additional restrictions

The still-published judicial guidance cites Acordada 1129/2016: full copies of registry entries are issued on an order from the competent court in a specified case. Legitimate or public interest must also be established. The guidance expressly extends the procedure to Personas Jurídicas and Registro Público de Comercio. In other cases, the registry should identify the office holding the registered original. Confirm how this applies under RUN before placing a current order. [4]

What the PDF service covers

SIGRE lists Anotaciones Personales, fiscal property valuation, cadastral reports, real-property title reports, and Quiebras y Convocatoria de Acreedores. Request an insolvency report and a company file separately. [3]

Confirm current charges

The older copy guidance contains charges and banking details from an earlier procedure. For an order under RUN, obtain the current Liquidación de tasas, the official fee assessment. SIGRE’s help directs questions about generating, paying and validating that assessment to the judiciary’s fee-support office. [4] [3]

Avoid common mistakes

  • A foreign user does not obtain SIGRE access merely by signing up. [3]
  • Checking a submitted application’s status is not a public company search. [3]

Frequently asked questions
