Choose the right register
The Ministry distinguishes companies from business names and partnerships, and from commercial agencies. Its 2016 description explains these registry areas but contains historical legal references. It is not a current fee or access guide. [1]
The 3 November 2025 notice confirms a public service counter and electronic archiving. It describes a planned connection to the Baladna platform and preparations for relocation to Khartoum. [2]

Identify the registry category
Collect the original Arabic name, English name version, registration number and registered office. Establish whether the record concerns a company, business name or commercial agency. [1]

Distinguish an old certificate from present status
On 5 July 2025 the Ministry instructed the registrar to review entries and remove inactive or non-compliant companies. When relying on an old company document, separate confirmation of present status is therefore particularly important. [3]
